Ex-Core effectively removes the shape limitations of carbon-fibre manufacturing thanks to one-shot moulds that expand from the inside out. This squeezes the carbon fibres against once-impossible mould angles and surface shapes to create zero radius shapes that retain all the Ex-Core strength.
This allows race-team manufacturing departments to more faithfully follow the aerodynamic designs dictated by the wind tunnel.
The added strength of Ex-Core also allows race teams to use lighter components in safety-critical areas - just like Donkervoort does with its doors.
